Humpty Dumpty

Humpty
Dumpty sat on a wall.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the King’s horses and all the King’s men
couldn’t put Humpty together again.
They
called for the doctor; they called for the nurse,
but then they found things couldn’t be worse.
Humpty’s shell had really been split
because of his fall and where he had hit.
The
doctor said “Oh my” and the nurse wondered too
what in the world could the two of them do.
So they took out the needle and took out the thread,
but Humpty said “folks if you use that I’m dead!”
The
task was a hard one for all who could see,
but finally a child said “Hey listen to me.”
My Mom has this great thing I think you can use.
I’m sure she will let us, she couldn’t refuse.
So the child hurried home, and then he came back
with a glue gun cradled in his small backpack.
The doctor and nurse used the gun to repair
all of the cracks that Humpty had there,
and
they were real careful in order to not
fry Humpty’s insides with glue very hot.
But all worked out OK and soon they could see
that Humpty was back as good as could be!
The
moral of this rhyme is use what you’ve got
whenever you get into this kind of spot.
Just think of your options of what you can do
and choose the best one to make broken things new.
